DFB congress expected to approve regional league model on Dec. 18

The Kompass model would have four divisions instead of five, with every champion promoted to Germany’s 3. Liga. The initiative by NOFV Regionalliga clubs formed on Feb. 12, 2025, and is now close to its goal.

Fürth sporting director Daniel Meyer said he was optimistic the model would be implemented.
