German parliament approves video surveillance at larger slaughterhouses
Open post in TelegramStarting next year, larger slaughterhouses in Germany will have to use video surveillance at their facilities. The requirement applies to facilities that slaughter more than 1,000 cattle, 5,000 pigs raised for meat, or 150,000 chickens, turkeys or rabbits a year. The cameras are expected to cover more than 90% of all slaughtering.
